Leaky Woody Structures (LWS) installed along the Alder Stream at Reeds Farm to 'slow the flow' and reduce flood risk downstream. Poplars along the stream pollarded, a buffer zone fenced off from the farm's sheep to keep sheep safe and allow natural regeneration in the buffer zone.
