An existing pipe will be re-engineered to allow releases from Bewl water to flow into the Teise at Small bridge, thereby bypassing the River Bewl. This pipe has been used for pumping water from the Teise into the Bewl Water during winter months to top it up, ready for drinking water releases during the summer months This will create a more natural flow regime in the Bewl river and smooth flows in the Teise.
